The Legends of Equestria Chapter: 10Chapter 10: The Infiltration
Pinkie Pie opened her eyes to see her home. Just as it should be, blue sky, white clouds, her friends all over the place, and Celestia's palace in the distance. At first she thought that she'd been dreaming the whole Kida-taking-over-Equestria thing. And then, her paradise changed instantly into a desolate wasteland. The mountains were bare, the homes down in Ponyville were destroyed, the sky was a dark orange, wind was blowing rusty dust into her eyes, and Celestia's majestic castle was replaced with a forbidding fortress. The battlements were teeming with changeling warriors, the tops of the spires were aflame with red fire, and on the doors, there was a hideous dragon body carved into the wood.
Pinkie was stunned. She never would have imagined Equestria to be even close to this in its darkest times. She ran to the palace, despite her strong feelings against it. She got a closer look of the
The Legends of Equestria: Chapter 9Chapter 9: Primeval Rage
After Toordra's visit, I was completely drained. I used up the last of my energy flying to Twilight's house. And when my head hit the pillow on the arm of Twilight's couch, I instantly fell asleep. It felt like only seconds before I started to dream. And this nightmare beat them all. It had Pinkie Pie in it.
Pinkie Pie was strapped down on a table. An operating table. It was tilted at an ten-degree angle so whoever was working on her would get the best position. She was unconscious, her head resting on her right shoulder. She suddenly woke up with a scream. She tried to move her hooves, but the straps impeded her movement. She looked around her with fear in her eyes. She was bathed in a cone of light, nothing was visible beyond it.
An evil sounding chuckle pierced the darkness like a scalpel. The voice said, "The happiest pony in all of Equestria, the perfect subject for m
The Legends of Equestria Chapter: 8Chapter: 8 A Rare Find
I woke up. The night was uneventful. No dreams, no nightmares, just sleep. I was glad for it, but also kind of disappointed. I would've loved to have known where Rarity was that night. I had to save her next. And I got a feeling in my gut that it wasn't going to be pretty how I was going to save her. I got off the couch, ate breakfast, which consisted of an egg sandwich and some orange juice. And got to meditating. I didn't know what else to do. I tried listening, like how I did with Fluttershy, and didn't get anything. Then I tried my vision sensing. I started to get something.
My vision cleared, and I saw Rarity's small white body. Her purple mane was mangled and matted. She was in a pit, which smoked from the cold. The pit was made of metal, surrounded by pipes and subtle red lighting. She had cuffs encasing her front legs, hooked together by a cha
The Legends of Equestria Chapter: 7Chapter 7: The Forest of Fear
I had two spirits in my mind. That was all I could think about. It had to be weird seeing through another pony's eyes, literally. After I had taken Rainbow's and Twilight's spirits into my mind, they had talked for a bit, then had been suddenly silenced. As if they had fallen asleep and were heavily dreaming. I was trying to see where Fluttershy was, since that's who I had to save next. I was trying really hard to sense a vision of the future like with Rainbow Dash, but there was no luck at all. It's like destiny was trying to tell me that she wasn't ready yet. I meditated, all day, and into the late hours of the day. Everything floated around in Twilight's house, like we really were in space. I tried as hard as I could, but nothing came.
I was discouraged, I had to find out where Fluttershy was. I couldn't get anything, and she's probably being tortured like Rainbow was. I
The Legends of Equestria Chapter: 6Chapter 6: The Test of Visions
Me and Twilight understood that we needed to find our friends, and rescue them. I knew that I had to contain their spirits in my body, I had to protect them, and they had to protect me. I didn't let Twilight die, and I won't let the spirits of Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, or Fluttershy die either. They were friends, and they meant the world to me. Toordra herself had faith in us, that we could do anything, as long as we stayed together. I felt the whole truth when me and Twilight hugged on her balcony.
"I'll take care of you, my sister." I whispered.
"I know you will." she whispered, her voice shaky from her tears.
We hugged tighter, and let go. When I looked into Twilight's eyes, I saw a fire. A fire for her friends that would never go out. She was as determined as I was to bring Equestria back to life. I was moved by her strength and determination, so moved, that I started to shed tea
The Legends of Equestria Chapter: 5Chapter 5: The Dream
Twilight was dropped on the floor of a great room. She was bound in chains. Cold, heavy, and black. She heard the grinding of a door opening on stone, and the clink of hoof cuffs on the same stone. Somepony had entered the room. She didn't need to look up to see who it was.
"So, you're the last one. Doesn't surprise me at all. You're stronger than any of your pathetic friends." Chrysalis said.
Twilight didn't answer. Instead, she lifted her head and looked up and around at her surroundings. She opened her eyes to see her friends. Their eyes closed, they hung in limbo in the glare of spotlights. Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, all of them. They were injured beyond recognition. She turned her head around, and saw the cutie mark crusaders. They had horrible injuries as well. Then she looked up, right above Chrysalis's throne, was Celestia.
The Legends of Equestria Chapter: 4Chapter 4: The Fall of Canterlot
After the events at the wedding, ponies everywhere were constantly flooding me with questions about how I managed to survive Chrysalis's kill shots and the explosion. They would ask me if it hurt and if I'd done it before. I answered yes every single time. The only way I could get away from that for a while was to hang out with the girls. On one particular day though, it was quieter than usual. So I decided to take advantage of it and go on the picnic we'd scheduled.
I met up with them, and we headed out beyond Ponyville. The girls knew that I wanted to get away from all the attention for a while, and they welcomed the extra company. They'd brought the traditional stuff you would expect on a picnic. But these dishes were jacked up in flavor and fullness. I had a PB&J sandwich, and it sent me to heaven and back. I tried the little funnel cake that Rarity had made, and I thought I
