She is the Dragon Goddess of Winter. She also rules over the Morning and Evening Stars, and the moon in its crescent phase. Her parents were the Dragon Titans Ophelia, and Korozed. Her dad, Korozed rules over the night sky, and her mother Ophelia rules over Winter. She even has the power to create winter auroras. She is part of a special dragon council called the Council of the Spirits. She is also the younger sister of all the major Planetary Spirits, Toordra, Irya, Hykoa, and Irnoa. She is a lively and friendly spirit.
Here is how she came to be. Korozed and Ophelia got married after they met at Christmas. They had so much in common with each other and they really liked each other. After they married, they settled down and had a baby goddess. Kamina. Eve before Kamina hatched, her parents knew that she had great potential. In truth, she did.
What she could do as a youngling was astonishing. She could make snow fall at will, she could even create mini stars and auroras. Her parents saw boundless potential in their daughter, and they loved her to pieces. The only thing that could separate them, is Immortal Death. That happens when a dragon titan, god, or goddess dies by fading away, or being killed by a great evil. And that's exactly what happened to her father. There was another brother of the planetary spirits, and his name is Deryktus. His name literally means embodiment of evil.
He sought to take the universe out of balance and remake it in his vision. By any means necessary, even if it means killing his own brothers, sisters, and others of his kind to do it. He stormed the Night God's palace with relentless attacks, they were precise, deadly, and crushing. Kamina's dad's forces were overwhelmed, and Deryktus entered the palace and confronted Korozed. They battled for hours while each other's forces annihilated each other. Pretty soon, it was only the two of them. Then Deryktus killed Kamina's father. Kamina was just in the upper levels and she watched her father die. And she was crushed to see it. Her mother took her out to get her to safety, it worked. Ophelia took her daughter to her other children's home, the spirit world of Uundara. There, her mother put Kamina in the care of all the planetary spirits, her other children. They took her in with open arms and Ophelia said goodbye to them. She was never seen or heard from again.
Kamina grew up still remembering that moment in her life when her mother left her in the care of her siblings. She longed to see her parents all the time. Though her parents loved her very much, her siblings loved her even more.
She can see her parents again, only I or Generatiyan can take her to Ystrai'il, the other dimension where the dead, and all the gods go to live forever in peace and harmony. During the war, I went to the planetary spirits for counsel on how to defeat their evil brother. After the conference, I spoke with Kamina.
"You are the prince right?" she asked.
"I am," I replied.
"I am the younger sister of the Spirits, and I want to ask you a favor." she said.
"What's that?" I asked back.
"Can you take me to see my mother and father?" she said.
The request hit me with a resonance that I never felt before. "Your parents died didn't they?" I asked her.
"Yes," she said, her voice cracking.
"I'll help you to see your parents again, but until then, you must remember something." I said.
"What is that?"
"The truth, you must remember that your parents aren't lost. No matter where you are, or where your parents are, they are with you in your heart. Their love for you has not died with them. I can help you to see you parents again, you've just got to hang on to the memories that you have with your parents, keep them in your heart, cherish them. And you'll make it through this challenge." I said.
She leaned over to me and hugged me, and gave me a little kiss in the cheek. "Thank you." She said, "I am sure my parents are watching over me right now, and I know they love me, and I will keep them in my heart forever."
Yes, I love the backstory! Their names are very intriguing and pleasant, and the story of Korozed's death is touching. Also, your spelling and grammar is at a high level, and with the exception of a few mistakes, it is has a very nice flow to it. I feel like it would make a good novel. Plus, the second-to-last paragraph has some very wise words, and if I ever lost someone dear to me, those words would comfort me. Very well-written!
And I thank you so very much. I actually plan to write a book sometime in my life, and it will be called The Heroes of Toordra, (by the way, it's pronounced toe-or-dra if you were wondering) it's the same title as on that planet picture. That was only a concept art piece for the actual one. I think that the end result will be even better, but you never know right?
